Corrine Brown Carries Olympic Torch - December 2001 | Corrine Brown,Ph.D., an MIS instructor in the College of Business, carried the Olympic torch for the leg that went through the Ohio Valley. In an interview with the "Athens Messenger," she commented on the experience in light of Sept. 11th, "I told him that I didn`t know if it meant more or less, but I did know there are young men and women fighting - putting their lives on the line - so that someone like me, a little girl who grew up on a farm in the country, has the freedom to carry the Olympic torch." |
