DEADLINE FOR RECEIPT OF COMPLETE APPLICATION IS MAY 4, 2009
All admissions decisions will be made during the week of May 18th – 22nd, 2009, and students will then be notified by e-mail and formal follow-up letter.
TO BE INCLUDED WITH YOUR APPLICATION:
1.) Official high school transcript: Stamped or signed by school representative and enclosed in sealed envelope, and must reflect the following:
- class rank of top 30% or higher
- GPA of 3.0 or higher
- proof of honors, advanced placement, or college prep course work
- MUST INCLUDE GRADES TO DATE FOR CURRENT YEAR!
2.) Official copy of test scores: SAT and/or ACT scores are preferred, if you have taken these tests. Otherwise, please submit PSAT.
3.) Essay: A one-half to one full page typed essay addressing the following points:
- (1.) why you think you are interested in majoring in business when you go to college, and
- (2.) what it is about business that makes you interested in the program.
4.) Letter of recommendation: From a teacher, coach, guidance counselor, employer, clergy or other non-family member.
SPECIAL NOTES:
- Applicants MUST be seriously considering majoring in BUSINESS in college, and must demonstrate this in their essay.
- JUNIORS ARE GIVEN PREFERENCE OVER SOPHOMORES. Sophomores who apply will be considered, but the competition will be even more rigorous.
- With the exception of some Columbus public schools, students must provide their own transportation to-and-from Athens.
